seeing this billboard around town has made me curious about their coffee. [i won't eat their food, but i'll try their coffee.] i don't really consider myself a "coffee snob", though i do appreciate a good cup of coffee, but i thought i'd stop by and give them a try. well, as i have previously posted, i don't use white refined sugar and what sugar did they offer? white refined sugar. [sidebar: this is precisely why i always carry my own packets of sugar in the raw in my purse.] ok, so sugar aside, their coffee wasn't anything to write home about. it was an average cup of joe. it doesn't matter how good the beans are in the beginning, if you are going to brew coffee with a drip machine and have the pot just sitting on the warming plate, then how good is the finished product really going to be? i think if they are trying to entice the "coffee snob", they are going to have to up their game a little.
i love coffee. the aroma. the taste. the experience. and lately i have been enjoying taking pictures of my adventures with coffee. i hope you enjoy looking at them as much as i have enjoyed taking them. now sit back, with a cup of coffee of course, and enjoy.

how do you take your coffee?
my coffee drinking has evolved over the years. right now i only add sugar in the raw. when i first started drinking coffee, i would either add a flavored creamer to my coffee or i would buy flavored coffee and add half & half and white sugar. (i know it's a sin, i'm sorry.)
my daughter introduced me to sugar in the raw, so when i went to non-flavored coffee, i would add turbinado and creamer.
i finally dropped the creamer but i still use turbinado sugar. i am working on eliminating sugar completely but that will take a little longer. at least i've cut back from heaping spoons of sugar, to level spoons :)

no raw sugar???
we went out to dinner the other night and as i glanced over to the packets of sugar, i noticed there was only white, yellow, blue & pink packets. no brown! where is the sugar in the raw? i do not like white sugar or any of the substitutes that have been invented. i am a raw sugar kinda girl. this is exactly why i ALWAYS carry my own emergency packets of sugar in the raw in my purse. catastrophe averted.
