last month on our way to swork coffee in eagle rock, we passed the coffee table and i made a mental note to go check them out next time was in the neighborhood. well yesterday we happened to be in the 'hood so we stopped in. it was very enjoyable and relaxing. an added bonus is that they have their own parking lot so we didn't have to pay for street parking!

the ups truck pulled up to deliver a box to the coffee shop and the nice ups man came over and gave bailey a cookie! i thought that was so nice of him. thanks ups guy!

it feels like it's been years since we've been to swork. i don't know why, but for some reason they fell off our radar. maybe i should make a list of the coffee shops we like, so we won't forget any of them.

for mother's day we made it to intelligentsia coffee in pasadena. i had their chemex brewed nyarusiza, which was quite good. check out how they serve their coffee! it comes on little wooden trays with an extra pitcher to top off your coffee. how adorable is that?

chemex for one

i bought myself a little chemex cm-1c and i am lovin' it! it can brew up to 15 ounces; perfect for moi.

it takes it's own little size filters, so i had to get a box of those too. folding this filter is a little like origami. it takes three folds to get it to the right shape.

here it is, brewed up, and ready to drink!
