a coffee surprise

yesterday hubby surprised me with two bags of klatch coffee (do i have the best hubby, or what). he brought el salvador orange bourbon (my favorite) and a new one we've never tried before, ethiopian sidamo adem chilcho. according to their website "the flavors become defined in the cup as raspberry, blueberry with hints of dark chocolate, providing a bright acidity within a creamy and juicy body." mmm, i am looking forward to giving this one a try!

we can never go to the coffee klatch without coming home with a bag or two of their coffee. on our last trip, we bought their costa rica cafetal. i can't wait to dive into this bag because i know the klatch plus costa rican beans will equal a delicious roast.

today i decided to brew myself a cup of orange bourbon in my hario v60. this is my current favorite roast from the klatch. i have been drinking klatch coffees for over 5 years now and this is one of their best. if you don't follow a table in the corner of the cafe take a gander at his review of this flavorful roast. it just may convince you to order yourself a bag.

looks like the klatch just got their delivery of freshly roasted coffee! organic, fair trade, decaf, blends... everything's in stock! mmm, i'll take one of each please.

i normally brew my own coffee but on sunny days, it's nice to get out and let someone else do the work. on this day we went to the coffee klatch in rancho cucamonga. they have three locations but this is our favorite because it has the most outdoor seating and there is no smoking allowed on the north patio! (need to smoke? take it to the south patio.)

the baristas are always friendly and very knowledgable about their coffees. the klatch has a brew bar and they hand craft each cup individually. they've got the freshest cup of coffee in town.

hubby came home today, not only with a bouquet of flowers, but with a pound of panama kotowa don k ml from klatch roasting! [he's such a sweetie.] who needs sparkle? i want coffee!

yesterday was such a nice day, i decided to have my morning coffee on the patio, with bailey of course. you can tell it's a nice day because bailey is naked! she's always cold, so she's always dressed. today i brewed el salvador yellow bourbon from klatch roasting (my favorite roaster). it really is quite delicious.

yesterday's coffee was not only with bailey, but aoife, my grandDOGter, joined us as well. we went to the coffee klatch in san dimas where they were serving ethiopian gedeo worka, one of my favorites!

1st brew of 2012

our first brew of the new year was a chemex pot of ethiopian gedeo worka.  it is a very fruity cup of deliciousness.  it was such a beautiful day here in so cal, we got to enjoy it outdoors!
